I started my career as a Graphic Designer and Senior Art Editor, working for major UK publishers and licensed brands, creating best-selling books, giftware, magazines, and media packaging.
After 10 years, I joined a broadcast technology company as Creative Director and owned marketing strategy, interior and experiential design for our HQ and large-scale international trade shows, and co-ordinated a company-wide rebranding effort. Growing interest in cloud and SaaS solutions resulted in defining the UX and UI of a ground-breaking online video editing platform, for both web and tablets.
I then transitioned to the world of startups, joining early-stage companies in real estate, online gaming, and fintech, to assist with visual design, user experience design, and eventually product strategy and direction.
As the Creative Innovation lead for a fintech agency, I led new and recurring business development pitching concepts involving new technologies in wearables, connected cars, and other mobile hardware that would improve the customer experience. My small team incubated ideas that could generate new start-ups, one of which I bought to market as CPO.
My move to Seattle happened in 2016, where I married my partner, and joined Amazon as a Senior UX Designer. Working first on supporting new initiatives in the Amazon Shopping mobile app, followed by the Echo Look device launch, a new initiative around VR Shopping and 3D visualization, and most recently Buy with Prime.
I became a husband in 2016, a homeowner in 2017, a dog-dad in 2018, and a US Citizen in 2021.
Outside of work I enjoy creative hands-on projects including 3D printing animatronic and remote-controlled puppets, building my own mechanical keyboard, and a never-ending list of home improvement projects.
